Spring Florist Event 2007 - スプリング・フローリスト・イベント2007

ちょっと遅くなってしまいましたが、今年の１月にバーミンガムで行なわれたスプリング・フローリスト・イベント2007でのデモの様子です。20分ほど時間をいただいて、4つの作品を作らせていただきました。（と言っても，当日の朝から下ごしらえにはずっと掛かっていたのですが、、、。）
当日たくさんの人から手助けをいただきました。心から感謝。

I know it has been a while, but here are some of the pictures from Spring Florist Event 2007 in Birmingham. Among other florists, we had about 20 minutes each to do some demonstration work on a stage. I made 4 works, although it took me almost all day from the morning to do all the preparation... I was lucky enough to be there, and fortunate enough to receive so much support and help from many people on the day. Thank YOU ALL!

Flat Hand-Tied - フラットな花束を作って

ロンドンの花屋さんで手に入る花束と言えば、比較的丸くて中身がぎっちりと詰まったポージースタイルが主流です。それとは少し違うスタイルを、、、という事で、今回は横に広がる花束をクラスの皆さんと一緒に作製しました。
In general, it is a posy-style bouquet which is packed with foliage and flowers in a dome-shaped when you order a 'Hand-Tied" at London florists. Then, can we have slightly different style?...so, here we are! We made some beautiful flat-style Hand-Tied arrangements in the class together.

まずはハムステッドの教室から，朋子さんの作品のご紹介です。ハランの表面と鮮やかなピンクのガーベラとの対比が見る人の目を引きつけますね。
The first design is from Tomoko at Hampstead Class. What strikes your eyes is the sleek contrast of smooth Aspidistra elatior and Gerbera grootbloemig 'Serena'. A very attractive design.


次はブルームスブリーの教室から，裕季子さんの作品です。葉ものや草，花の茎の流れがとても美しい作品です。
The next design is from Yukiko at Bloomsbury Class. The line of flowers, stems, foliage and grass are beautifully enhanced by keeping good space between in this soft design.


同じくブルームスブリーから智子さんの作品です。様々な材料を取り入れながら、立体感のある軽やかな花束が完成しました。
Tomoko is also from Bloomsbury Class. Tomoko has brought various material into the design, however, it still kept light and airy feling in this well constructed design.


邦子さんの作品は，夏草を丁寧に編み込んで作られたかのような、風情が漂う花束です。
Kuniko has made this arrangement at Bloomsbury class. Even though there are very little flower material in this design, it is still very attractive, just like a carewfully weaven craft with various summer grass.

Vase Arrangements - 花瓶に花を活けて

花をアレンジするとき吸水性スポンジをよく使用しますが、日常ではよりシンプルな活け方で。。。というわけで花瓶へのアレンジメントも取り上げています。もちろん、吸水性フォームやワイヤー・テープ等は使用していません。
The use of water retaining foam is quite common when flower arrangement is made, however, sometimes you do notfeel like using it for various reason. Maybe you would like to make a very simple arrangement without the foam. Hence, we are making Vasearrangements in the Classes. Of course, no foam, no wire inside, and no cellotape on the mouth of the vase!
ブルームスブリーの教室からはまず智子さんの作品。ピオニーとピンクッションという個性的な花の合わせ方が目を引きます。
Here are some fine works from Bloomsbury Class. Tomoko's work is quite different and still attractive, as its rather unique combination of Paeonia and Leucospermum cordifolium.

イーサは、彼女らしくグリーンをたっぷりと使ったフレッシュな作品。
This design is from Ethaar. Using plenty of foliage and greenery, Etheer created this very fresh-feeling arrangement. Although it is rather unususal for her to choose pink colour, it works!

恵さんの作品では、華やかなアマリリスをユーカリがしっかりと支えています。
Those glorious Amarylis (Hippeastrum) are surrounded and supported by graceful Eucalyptus in this elegant Megumi's work.

真ん中に据えられたカラーが映えるような、シブい色の合わせで魅せているのが、和子さんの作品です。
Kazuko has chosen very earthy and quiet colour combination in order to show off the beauty of Calla (Zantedeschia) in the middle of her design.

マリエさんは、花材一本一本を丁寧に生けられて，見事な形にまとめあげられています。
Marie has created this beautifully shaped vase arrangement by paying attention to each material.

From the previous Workshop - ワークショップからの作品

以前のワークショップから、よしこさんの作品をお届けします。最初の作品は，チューリップの茎の流れを活かした春らしい作品です。Here are some designs created by Yoshiko at The Workshop. The first design is a very elegant Spring arrangement. Yoshiko really looked into the shape of Tulips in this arrangement.

この日よしこさんは、２作品を作り出してくださいました。こちらは、スノードロップをあしらった冬の静けさが伝わってくる作品ですね。
On this woorkshop, Yoshiko has created 2 designs on one day. this is her second design. With pretty Snowdrops (Galanthus elwesii), it is a very quet Winter landscape.

Table Cantre Arrangement - テーブルセンターを作って

夜の教室から，テーブルセンターの作品をご紹介します。裕季子さんの作品は，アンティークショップで見つけた銀の食器を使っての作品。ピンクのネリネが効果的ですね。
From Bloomsbury Classes, we have some Table centre pieces here. Yukiko's work was made on an antique silverware. Pink Nerine were used effectively within this design.

邦子さんの作品は、穏やかなオレンジが形良くアレンジされています。
This piece is from Kuniko. It has a lovely shape and profile, with very gentle, not loud at all, orange colour scheme.

花の流れに動きを作りだした容子さんの作品は、見る人の目を引きつけます。
Yoko has created this very attractive design. It has distinctive movement within, using clever colour scheme and controling the direction of each materials.

Trial Class - 体験クラスより

先日体験クラスに参加頂いた典子さんの作品です。白を基調とした、素敵な春先のウェディングブーケが完成しました。
Here is a couple of Noriko's work, who joined the trial class the other day. The first picture is a Wedding Bouquet Noriko made. Itis a beautiful white bouquet. Can you feel the early Spring air from London?
この作品は教会の中で作製されたものです。時間はかかりましたが，その甲斐あり！
The nextwork is an arrangement designed in a church envoronment. Yes, it did take Noriko a while to complete this design, but, as you can see, it was worth it!

Classes in April- ４月クラスの日程変更について

４月は、勝手ながら4週のうち２週のみクラス開催とさせていただきます。ハムステッドクラスは4日（水曜日）の11時からと19日（木曜日）の10：30から。ブルームスブリークラスは5日と19日（木曜日）の18：30からです。ご迷惑をおかけしますが，なにとぞご了承ください。
We will have only 2 classes in April out of 4 weeks. At Hampstead Class, it will be on 4th (Wednesday) from 11:00, and 19th (Thursday) from 10:30. At Bloomsbury Class, it will be on 5th and 19th (Thursdays) from 18:30 on both days. Sorry to be such a nuisance, and sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
