今年の夏に見た、こんな気持ちのいい青空。

多分、来年までお預けですね。

One fine Summer day - bottomless blue sky.

I think I have to wait till next year now...

I was lost for words - 一目逢ったその日から。。。

この前、市場で出会ってしまいました。

 I could not help staring at them, yes, at The New Covent Garden Market, the other day. 

ただ一言。。。WOW。

I was speechless, but.....WOW.

New Leaf in TOKYO - 颯爽とした風が、ロンドンから東京へ

大切な同僚の一人が、この１１月から東京でテーブルコーディネートのクラスを始めるというニュースを聞きつけました！彼女は、ロンドンでもお花のアレンジを注文／お届けされていた実力者。それだけではなく、テーブルコーディネートとお花の教室も開かれていました。（知る人ぞ知る、人気のクラス！）

This is one of her beautiful creations - そんな彼女の作品の一つです。

I have just heard a great NEWS! One of my dear colleagues is planning to resume her TABLE Co-Ordinating classes in TOKYO from November. We did not have a chance to share a work place in London, but I always admired her work - taking orders, delivering her creations here in London, as well as running ever so popular classes.

その教室へも数回お邪魔したのですが、そこに広がっていたのは溢れ出てくる知識と、光るような彼女の世界観。だからといってお高くとまってなんていません。沢山の質問が行き交い、笑い声と心遣いが来る人を包む教室。

それが、この度、東京で再開！

日本の方、ラッキーです！自分も、日本に戻った時には、是非行きたいなー。
早めに予約しなくっちゃね。

I actually have been to her class a few times to be nosy. Naturally, there was this deep understanding of table setting, soft furnishing, and flower designs. The great thing about her is that she is not a precious princess - she is so down to earth! Works hard, laughs out loud, yet never forgets to be grateful. 

Now, it is time for people in Japan to be able to experience it in first hand!
I must make a reservation for my seat when I go to Tokyo.

今日も一生懸命。Working hard, as always.

仕事させてもらってる最中も、活け終わったあとも、普段はなかなか写真を撮る時間、ないんです。。。でも、この時は親切な方（だから後ろ姿のみ！）がいて、こんな写真を送ってくださいました。背中向けてて、失礼！

Vegetative Round ベジタティブアレンジを作って

こちらのデザインは恵さんによるものです。一輪一輪にそれぞれの ‘咲く場所’ が与えられ、まるで自然の景色を切り取ってきたような風情があります。立体感のある素敵な作品ですね。

Megumi has created this arrangement. Each flower was given its own “space to grow/bloom” in this design, and the whole arrangement just looked like a piece of field. A wonderfully well dimensioned design.

こちらは、裕季子さんの作品です。品種によっては、この季節にもう一度咲いてくれるバラがあります。そんな晩夏の庭を彷彿とさせる 、野性味溢れるデザインです。姫リンゴやぶどうの秋色に、薫り高いバラの色合わせも絶妙ですね。
This is Yukiko's design. Some varieties of Roses do bloom again around this time of the year, and this design really depicts its beauty: the end of summer, dry leaves with crisp air. Crab apples and some grape vine were accompanied by some highly scented roses. So wild!

敏美さんによるデザインはこちらです。可愛くなってしまいがちなピンク色。なかなか手強い色だと思うのですが、とても上品にまとめられていますね。色の持つ幅を利かせて、ぐっと落ち着きのある作品に仕上げられています。
Toshimi has created this design. The colour PINK can be quite intimidating - it somehow makes it look almost too cute... However, Toshimi effortlessly avoided falling in to that trap, and created an elegant colour combination. Pink for sophisticated table, I think.

No More Evening Classes for a tiem being - 夕方のクラスはしばらくお休みです

霧のロンドン。 

London was in deep fog.

明け方の静かな街が、その懐に包まれていました。

The dawn was approaching, yet this corner of the city was still so quiet, yet still deeply alive. 
 The street was simply enjoying this blanket.




夕方から開かせて頂いた、花の教室（ブルームスブリー）ですが、このタームよりお休みを頂く事になりました。
これまでお付き合いいただきました皆様。本当にありがとうございました。いつか、また開催出来るように、これから勉強を続けて行きます。

なお、朝のハムステッドクラスは、今まで通り開催させて頂いております。よろしかったら、是非、ハムステッドの朝のクラスへお越し下さいませ。

The evening class in Bloomsbury is taking a break from this term. The class had been run with full of support and encouragement from many of my friends and colleagues. Without them, simply the class did not have a chance of staying so long. So, thank YOU, and there are more than just these words. One day, maybe, we can gather again.
  
The morning classes in Hampstead is staying open as usual. So, if you are interested in making your own flower arrangement, please do come along to the morning classes!

秋のタームは９月２６日より Autumn Tem begins on 26th September

ちょっと前まで、半袖一枚でも大丈夫だったロンドン。
と、そこへ訪れた大雨長雨。気温も一気に下がりました。そんな街に現れたのは、コートにマフラーという出で立ちの通勤姿。夏の次は秋、だと思っていたのに、今年はどうも様子が違うのでしょうか。
そんなお天気をよそ目に、花市場ではハロウィーンに向けたディスプレーが増えてきました。もちろん、秋を華やかに彩ってくれる花や葉っぱ、そしてタワワな実物も充実。改めて、秋色の深さに目を奪われる市場の朝です。

It had been fine with only a T-shirt on for a while in London. then, this long, hard and slow rain arrived... The temperature fell dramatically with the wetness, which brought back long coats and scarves among commuters back in London. I thought Summer was supposed be followed by Autumn? Well, it feels different this year.

Despite this Wintery feel in the air, the Flower Market is gearing up to the time for Halloween now. There are so many bright colour under the roof - beautifully rich and subtly glorious Autumnal shades. You can ALMOST carry on wondering in the market for ever.

Anyway, at LivingSeasons, the weekly classes is starting from 26th September 2013.

１）ヴェジタティブ（植生的な）ラウンドアレンジ/Vegetative Round Arrangement

自然な感じでアレンジを作りたい。。。という時に使えるデザインです。グルーピングを意識して作っていきます。こちらは、路子さんによる作品です。

When you feel like making a natural-looking design, this is very useful. You are going to use grouping technique here. This is Michiko's design.　　

２）ヴェジタティブ／アップライト/Vegetative Up-Right design

ラウンドアレンジを、縦型に応用したスタイルです。ちょっと和のたたずまいを感じさせてくれるのでは？

With the same principle as above, but apply it to an Up-Right shape here. Maybe you can see a bit of JAPANESE influence here...?

 こちらは佳奈子さんによる作品です。This is Kanako's design.

３）フロントフェーシングの花束/Front-Facing Hand-Tied

花束にも、実は色々なスタイルがありまして。。。今回のお題は、とても舞台映えのする花束です。

Hand-Tied design has several styles, indeed. This time, we are making Front-Facing one, which would be suitable for stage and presentation.

こちらは裕季子さんによる作品です。This is Yukiko's design.

４）フロントフェーシングの花瓶/Vase arrangement in Front-Facing style

花束同様、花瓶にも三方見のスタイルがあります。お家で飾るのに、使い勝手の良いスタイルだと思います。

Vase Arrangements has also several styles. This one would be quite useful for your own house/room.

５）コサージュ/Corsages

前タームで作ったのは、ワイヤーを見せてしまうモダンなスタイルのコサージュ。今タームでは、ワイヤーを見せない基本のコサージュです。

On the previous term, we made Modern Corsages, which you can see its mechanics. In this term, we are taking rather traditional way of making Corsages.

このタームでは、アレンジの技術を全体的に底上げしてくれる課題が充実しています。アドバンスのタームの中でも、基礎・基本的な内容ですので、しっかりと身に付けていければと思います。

On this Autumn Term, the agendas are here to push your general skills up. It would widen your design skill, too. They might look simple and basic, but they are useful, indeed.

いっ ぽう、これまでクラスに足を向けていただくチャンスを逃していらした方には、基礎の基礎から一緒に始めて行きましょう。丸い形のラウンドアレンジ、三角形 の三方見のアレンジ、基本の花束の作り方、花瓶を使ったアレンジの作り方、そして基礎コースのまとめとなる三日月型のアレンジと進んでいきます。

On Basic Class, the menu is Round, Front Facing, Hand-Tied, Vase arrangement and Crescent design. Let's create some beautiful designs with your own flowers.

花 やアレンジにご興味をお持ちの方、是非一度見学においでになってください。そして、実際にお花に触れてみてください。花に触れる機会が今まで無かった方 も，もちろん大歓迎です！(こちらにご紹介させていただいた作品は、すべてクラスにおいで頂いている方によるデザインです。）

温度が下がった事で、花の保ち具合も断然違います！
