Love or Hate it? - 好き嫌い、分かれそうだねー。

これ、造花じゃありません。

って言ってはみたものの、見れば見るほど造花に見えるこの青いガーベラ。

花市場の中に、ちょこんと座っていました。

They are NOT artificial flowers! Although the more you look, the more they look artificial...

On the chaotic flower market floor, they were sitting quietly.

First day of SPRING - 春、まずはここから。

春分。

ロンドンは、その名に見合う穏やかな一日。目が痛くなるくらいの青空が、朝から広がっています。その空の青、少しだけ、庭にお裾分けしてもらっています。今年も逢えて、良かったー。

First Day of Spring - literally, London is enjoying a glorious day today. The sky has been almost too bright from the beginning of the day today. And, here you are, a piece of blue from the sky has landed on to the garden. So glad to see you again, Muscaris!

祈り - My thoughts are with you, Japan.

目の前に遠く広がる空の、その９時間先にある、自分が生まれた国。

あの日、から一年。

未だ変わる事のない『祈る』気持ちを、日本に向けて。

There is this vast sky in front of me.

Beyond that, even 9 hours ahead of us, there is this my home country.

1 year on, since THAT day.

My thoughts are still with you, Japan.

Special Gift 特別な人への贈り物を、花で

リビングシーズンな花の教室からです。

こちらはナターシャさんのギフトアレンジメントです。丁寧に麦を編まれてアレンジのボディーを創られています。そこに添えられた花々は、まるで包み紙からこぼれ出てきた秋の木の実達のようですね。見る人の心を和ませてくれる、そんなアレンジだと思いませんか？This is Natascha’s gift design. Its body is a fruit of patience and effort: binding each wheat one by one! Just like full of Autumnal nuts and berries, bursting out of wrapping bag, the arrangement is filled with joy and happiness. There is a lucky person who has received this beautiful arrangement in London!

こちらは佳奈子さんによる、プレゼント用のブーケ。大人の女性に渡されるという事で、佳奈子さんらしいエレガントな組み合わせです。少し入れられたオレンジ色が、とても効果的ですね。

This bouquet was made by Kanako as a gift for an elegant lady. Very feminine, seasonal and, of course, elegant! Another success in this design is orange tulips!

Winter Roses - 庭便り

バレンタインにはバラを剪定して，セント・ジョージの日にはスイートピーを植えるんと良いんだよ、、、数年前に教えてもらってから、毎年この時期になると、庭にあるバラをがっつり剪定しています。

というわけで，今年も恒例の剪定。

寒空の中で咲いている姿に，剪定するのを止めてしまおうかと思ったけど、これもさらに強い成長のためと，思いきってはさみを入れました。でも、捨てるなんて出来ません！先日の雪でのヤケドが痛々しいです。

また今年も，会えると良いね。

Hard pruning on roses should be done around St. Valentine's Day, and planting Sweet Pea around St. George's Day is good - Since I learnt this gardening calender, I have been religiously following this routine. Hard pruning means HRAD pruning - so when I do this, I do it properly.
This year, there were still some roses around in the garden, despite it was already middle of Feb! The moment of 'Shall I, or shan't I' came, but it was for stronger growth for Spring - but I had to save them in a vase. Ouch, looks painful - damage caused by the snow the other day.

Cannot wait to see you again in the Summer!

Flat Hand-Tied - かっちりと組み合わせたフラットな花束を作って

リビングシーズンの花の教室からです。

こちらはナターシャさんによって束ねられた作品です。花材の高低差とそれぞれの花材の持つ顔の向きまで、しっかりと気が配られて作られた作品です。見る角度によって新しい発見がある、そんな花束ですね。

This Hand-Tied design was created by Natascha. It was carefully created: recession, space and how each bloom would look in this arrangement. This design asks you to look at from different angles, and each time, you will find something new!

ハロウィーンテーマのこの花束は、恵子さんが束ねられました。枝を束ねたものを花材として用いる事で、花束に立体感を与えていますね。ハロウィーンらしい小物もさりげなく取り入れられています。葉ものの使い方も絶妙ですね。

This Haloween-themed hand-tied was created by Keiko. With some branches, this design had a good sense of depth in it. Some cute soft toys enhanced its design, but also the use of foliage was my favourite!

こちらは恵子さんの作品です。彼女らしい透明感に満ちた色合わせが素敵です。花束全体の形を丁寧に作られることで、それぞれの花の姿がさらに鮮やかに見えてきますね。

Keiko has created this flat hand-tied design. Its clean and cool colour scheme is Keiko’s speciality, I think! Each material shows its shape and beauty really well in this nicely balanced design.

Frame Hand-Tied-フレームを使った花束

恵子さんの作られた花束です。立体的にくみ上げられたフレームから、今や飛び出してこようとする元気のいい春の花達。さわやかな色合わせとともに、春の勢いを感じさせてくれる美しい作品です。

This is created by Keiko. Happy spring flowers in this design were almost bursting out of this beautifully crafted frame/cage. A beautiful composition with fresh colour and sense of growth.

このフレームを使った花束は恵子さんによるものです。まるで鳥の巣のようにまとめあげられたフレームに沿わされた春の花たち。花材の組み合わせがとても素敵で、見る人の目を楽しませてくれます。

This frame hand-tied was designed by Keiko. Some fresh spring flowers were arranged along with this bird’s nest-like frame well, like some eggs sitting in it. Keiko ‘s choice of material was also very charming.

こちらは由未さんによる花束の作品です。ナチュラルさを残したフレームの上で広がるのは、大人っぽい組み合わせの春の花達。花材が少なくても、しっかり安定して立ち上がっていますね！

This hand-tied is created by Yumi. Cool selection of spring flowers were dancing on a natural frame. This hand-tied did not have that many stems in it, but look, it stood up very well!

こちらの花束は容子さんの作品です。花材を横へ流すようなデザインで、洗練された格好良さを醸し出しています。フレーム内にしっかりスペースを残す事で、このデザインの特徴を活かされているのがわかりますね。

This hand-tied is designed by Yoko. Its sophisticated coolness was enhanced by its long tail. Yoko kept some negative space so that the fame itself also showed beauty. This is another key factor for good design!

邦子さんによるフレームの花束です。フレーム自体に立体感を持たせる工夫がなされていますね。フレームの上に開く夏の花達が、涼しい風を運んできてくれるようです。グループを描くような花の配置も、このデザインをさらに引き立てていますね。

This is Kuniko’s design. When Kuniko created this frame, she added an extra layer to give a sense of depth and space. Those beautiful summer flowers dancing on the frame were a gift with summer breeze! Grouping design scheme also enhanced this modern design.
