Did you see anything? - なんじゃろ？

近くに公園がありまして、仕事へ向かう時に通ったりするのですがで、昨日ここで見つけた、芝生に出来た模様。。。一体なんじゃろ？

There is a field near where I live - I sometime walk thorough to go to work. Yesterday, there was this strange pattern on the grass....What is it?

春のタームは４月１９日から！−The Spring term start from 19th April!

春の陽気が到来中のロンドン。それとともに春の花が葉を伸ばし、花を咲かせ始めました。

街路樹としてしばしば見かける桜やモクレンも、しっかり輝いて見えます。（桜は、日本ではあまり街中に植えないものなのですが。。。）

もちろん、町中の花屋さんの店頭も、春の花や枝もので充実しています。

リビングシーズンズ、２０１２年の春のタームは４月１９日よりのスタートとなります。時間と会場は今までと同じです。

Warm sunny days have been staying in London for a few days now. Of course, that is making some changes on the ground and branches - new shoots and buds and flowers! Cherry blossoms and Magnolias are blooming and shining : even though Cherry Blossoms in Japan is a well known sight, yet, you might be disappointed if you only stay inside urban area in Japan - you might as well enjoy more blossoms here in London. Those stunning visions of Cherry Blossoms in Japan are taking place outside residential area...

Anyway, at LivingSeasons, the weekly classes is starting from 19th April. Time and premises are the same as always.

アドバンスクラスでは、今までの内容に加え、新たにモダン＝テーブルアレンジの作り方を練習していきたいと思います。

In Advance class, we are introducing a new agenda...

１）L型アレンジ（左右非対称）ー　エレガントかつダイナミックなスタイルです。

1) L-Shape Design (Asymmetrical) - We are learning this elegant, yet dynamic style.

こちらは恵さんの作品です。This is Megumi's design.

２）ファン（扇）型アレンジ　−　少ない本数でも、最大限のインパクトが得られます。

2) Fan-shape Arrangement - very airy and light, yet, look at its visual impact!

こちらの作品は、彩子さんによるものです。This is Saiko's design.

３）クロス＝オーバーラッピング　ー　花材がわざと交差してアレンジされる、緊張感のあるデザインです。

3) Cross Over-Lapping Design - This design has good tension provided by movement and space.

恵子さんによる作品です。This is Keiko's design.

４）モダン＝コサージュ　ー　もう少し手軽にコサージュを楽しみたい方にお勧めです！

4) Modern Corsage - Do you think making a corsage is rather tedious? Maybe you can try this!

５）モダン＝テーブルアレンジメント　ー　このタームより加わった新しい課題です。

伝統的なルールから離れた、もう少し冒険したテーブルアレンジを作ってみませんか？

5) Modern Table Arrangement - This is a new agenda from this term. Let's escape from traditional rules, and be adventurous!

このタームでは、比較的インパクトの強いデザインが多くなります。植物の持つ可能性を見る目と、それを最大限に伸ばしてあげれる技術をつけていきましょう！

As you can see here, those designs tend to have more visual impact, yet using not that many material. Let's see what each material can do in the design, and extend that potential to the maximum!

一方、これまでクラスにおいで頂くチャンスを逃していらしたあなた！

初めてクラスに参加をされる方には、丸いラウンドアレンジ、三角のフロントフェーシング、花束、花瓶を使ってのアレンジ、そして三日月型のクレッセントを一緒に作っていきましょう。

On Basic Class, the menu is Round, Front Facing, Hand-Tied, Vase arrangement and Crescent design. Let's create some beautiful designs with your own flowers.

ハムステッドクラスでは葉っぱものをご購入（３ポンド）いただけるようにご準備させていただいています。今のところブルームスブリー教室では困難で，当面ハムステッド教室のみでの実施とさせていただきます。ご了承ください。もちろんこちらはオプションですので，ご自分で葉ものがご準備いただける方には、今まで通りのクラス代のみのままです。

Now, you can buy some foliage at Hampstead class for £3. This is entirely an optional. I really would like to provide foliage with Bloomsbury class, too, however, at the moment, it is not possible due to its storage restriction. If you are interested in joining the class, but not sure what you do in the class, why don't you come and see the class one of those warm days? We are not going to bite you, so don't worry! Come along, and say hello to us.

It still is chilly in the morning and evening, but there are many signs of new season arriving. Maybe you would like to feel it by having some fresh flowers in your room?

Crescent Arrangement - クレッセントアレンジを作って

リビングシーズンの花のクラスからです。

こちらは由未さんの作品です。立派でおおらかなクレッセントの完成です。メインの花材の向きを調整する事で，出来上がりが平面的な構成にならないよう配慮されているのが伝わります。

This is Yumi’s arrangement. It had lovely curve and flow in this design. Each main material was arranged in different direction accordingly, so the finished design maintained its visual depth.

百合さんによるクレッセントの作品です。色の組み合わせが美しく、またそれぞれの花材のチョイスと配置がいいですよね。フォーカルエリアの構成にも注目です！

This crescent arrangement was created by Yuri. A lovely selection of material here; colour combination, sizes, shape and texture. Its focal area was also a winning point!

Love or Hate it? - 好き嫌い、分かれそうだねー。

これ、造花じゃありません。

って言ってはみたものの、見れば見るほど造花に見えるこの青いガーベラ。

花市場の中に、ちょこんと座っていました。

They are NOT artificial flowers! Although the more you look, the more they look artificial...

On the chaotic flower market floor, they were sitting quietly.

First day of SPRING - 春、まずはここから。

春分。

ロンドンは、その名に見合う穏やかな一日。目が痛くなるくらいの青空が、朝から広がっています。その空の青、少しだけ、庭にお裾分けしてもらっています。今年も逢えて、良かったー。

First Day of Spring - literally, London is enjoying a glorious day today. The sky has been almost too bright from the beginning of the day today. And, here you are, a piece of blue from the sky has landed on to the garden. So glad to see you again, Muscaris!

祈り - My thoughts are with you, Japan.

目の前に遠く広がる空の、その９時間先にある、自分が生まれた国。

あの日、から一年。

未だ変わる事のない『祈る』気持ちを、日本に向けて。

There is this vast sky in front of me.

Beyond that, even 9 hours ahead of us, there is this my home country.

1 year on, since THAT day.

こちらはナターシャさんのギフトアレンジメントです。丁寧に麦を編まれてアレンジのボディーを創られています。そこに添えられた花々は、まるで包み紙からこぼれ出てきた秋の木の実達のようですね。見る人の心を和ませてくれる、そんなアレンジだと思いませんか？This is Natascha’s gift design. Its body is a fruit of patience and effort: binding each wheat one by one! Just like full of Autumnal nuts and berries, bursting out of wrapping bag, the arrangement is filled with joy and happiness. There is a lucky person who has received this beautiful arrangement in London!

こちらは佳奈子さんによる、プレゼント用のブーケ。大人の女性に渡されるという事で、佳奈子さんらしいエレガントな組み合わせです。少し入れられたオレンジ色が、とても効果的ですね。

This bouquet was made by Kanako as a gift for an elegant lady. Very feminine, seasonal and, of course, elegant! Another success in this design is orange tulips!
