From a Wedding Workshop − ウェディング・ワークショップより

春のウェディング・ワークショップでは、枝を用いてのブーケ作りを取り上げました。このワークショップからの作品をいくつかご紹介します。吸水性フォーム等は一切使用せず、ナチュラルステムで束ねられています。
On our Spring Workshop, we created some Wedding Bouquets with twigs. Here are some gorgeous designs from this Workshop. There was no water retaining foam in these designs: they have been tied with natural stems!


まずはよしこさんの作品。中に手を通す、マフ・ブーケです。洗練された、その美しく静かな質感に目を奪われてしまいます。
Yoshiko's work is a Muff-style bouquet. How sophisticated! What a dazzling yet quiet texture!




こちらのクレッセント・ブーケは、裕季子さんの作品です。ナチュラルながら、エレガントなスタイルです。
This Crescent Bouquet is created by Yukiko. It has natural, yet very elegant style.







朋子さんは、カラーの流れを活かしたシャワー・ブーケを作製。甘さのない、大人の方にぴったりの作品ですね。
Tomoko has created this Shower style Bouquet, showing off the beauty of Zantedeschia. Nothing girlie here. This is for someone who knows own style.

Round Arrangements - ラウンドアレンジを作って

花の教室でも、この７月から新しいシーズンが始まりました。各シーズンの最初のベーシッククラスでは、ラウンドアレンジを取り上げています。July 2007: A new season has began at LivingSeasons flower Arranging Classes. Round arrangement is the first design to make at the first class on Basic Classes.

桂子さんの作品は、春らしい華やかさに溢れた作品です。ミモザがこぼれ出してくるようですね。
Keiko's design is full of Spring Sun! Acacia is bursting out like the sunshine.


こちらは早苗さんのアレンジメント。力強くて深みのある作品です。
Sanae has made this visually strong, yet delicate arrangement, which maintained nuance within.


恵子さんの作品は、野の花を集めて来たような風情があります。
This work is from Keiko. How natural this arrangement is! It is just like an air of wild meadow.


美紀さんは、使ってみたかったエリンジウムを用いた作品。いつもと違う組み合わせに挑戦です。
Miki has set her a new challenge: using Eryngium. And, as you can see, she successfully mix this within her design.

さと子さんは、アドバンスクラスの最後に再度ラウンドアレンジを作製してくれました。美しい色合わせとフォルム。少し垂らしたアイビーが素敵ですね。
Satoko has been on Advanced Class for a while, and on her 'Your Own Choice' day, she chose this Round Arrangement. The result was a marvelous one. Beautiful colour and form. This trailing Ivy ('Hedera helix') added even more depth to this work.

Crescent Arrangement 2 - クレッセントを作って 2

真代さんの作品は、大きなアリウムをメインとして使いながら、落ち着いた表情を見せています。
Masayo's work is a sophisticated one. Even though it has loud Allium, its overall impression is a quiet one.


次は、恵さんの作品。青の矢車草を取り入れ、色によっても立体感を高めています。
Megumi has succeeded in enhancing its visual depth in this design by having some Centaurea cyanus (Cornflowers).


こちらは、恵子さんの作品。伸びやかに立ち上がったらラインが美しい作品です。
This is from Keiko. Its graceful line supports well on this airy arrangement, and it looks so stable!


和美さんの作品では、白のミニグラジオラスの形を生かし、美しい三日月を作り上げています。
Kazumi has created this smooth Crescent with white Gladiolus colvillei. Very good choice of materials.

Crescent Arrangement - クレッセント・アレンジを作って

ベーシッククラスの最後に作るのが，このクレッセント・アレンジメント。形を整え，且つバランスがしっかり取れるように作るのは結構難しいのです。
Crescent arrangements - this is the last design to make on the Basic Classes. It is quite difficult to make a nice shape and being stable at the same time.


ハムステッドの教室から知子さんの作品です。花に高低差があり，花の表情がよく見えますね。
This is from Tomoko at Hampstead Class. Each material has different height in this design, so that you can appreciate its wholesome beauty.


智美さんの作品は、春の優しい色合い。野草をうまく取り入れ、見る人の目を飽きさせません。
Tomomi has made this design with very gentle colour, just like Spring mist. It makes you feel like finding all the wild grasses within.


こちらは美紀さんの作品。透明感のある色合わせですね。アレンジが輝いて見えませんか？
This is Miki's work. Its clear colour scheme really shines through. It is bright, and very feminine.


美幸さんのクレッセントは、ちょっと難しいガーベラを使って。ガーベラ１輪１輪の表情が素敵ですね。
Miyuki's crescent is created with some mini Gerberas. Miyuki has carefully arranged each stem, so they look as if they are talking in this design.

New Term from July - 新しい花の仲間を募集中

ハムステッドとブルームスブリーで行なわれている教室も，この６月で早１年を迎えました。おかげさまで、仲間も少しずつですが増えてきました。ありがとうございます。

さて両教室とも、７月の一週目から新しいタームになります。花に触れてみたいと思っていたけど，なかなかその機会がなかった、あなた。絶好のチャンスです。花の仲間に入りませんか？

教室は朝と夕方からですので、あなたの都合に合わせての参加が可能です。場所は、静かな環境のハムステッドと、交通至便なブルームスベリー。
１タームにつき５つの違うデザインを学びます。もちろん出来上がったデザインは写真に収めて、あなただけのポートフォリオも完成です。

デザイン基礎からしっかり身に付けていただく基礎コースでは、基礎となる実技のみではなく、デザイン理論の解説も行なわれますので、しっかり学べます。 基礎コースの１１週で、まず基本となる５つのスタイルを習得していただきます。

コースはいつでもスタート可能です。

Spiral Arranangements - スパイラルアレンジを作って

今回のアレンジは、スパイラル・スタイル。作品の中に渦巻くラインを持ち込み、植物の持つ動き，躍動感を全面に表現できるスタイルです。
The theme for this session was 'Spiral'. We made some fine arrangements creating some swirling circles within the designs so that the movement and dynamism of the material are shining through.

ハムステッド教室のアドバンスクラスからは朋子さんの作品です。球根系の花を丁寧に矯め、流れるようなラインを作り出していますね。
From Hampstead Advanced Class, this is Tomoko's work. Various bulb flowers were carefully manipulated to create these graceful lines.

ブルームスブリー教室のアドバンスクラスから、裕季子さんの作品です。ハランとチューリップを交差させる事で立体感を一層高めています。
From Bloomsbury Advanced Class, this is Yukiko's design. The crossing stems of Tulipa and Aspidistra elatior enhanced the beauty of this design.

同じくブルームスブリーからイサーの作品です。ユーカリで作り上げたラインは、今にも動き出しそうに見えませんか？
Ethaar created this very organic style arrangement. Those swirling lines created with Eucalyptus look like as if they were slowly moving.

邦子さんの作品は、落ち着いた色合いながら、花材の持つ躍動感を充分に活かした作品です。
Kuniko's design has a quite muted colour scheme, yet, she carefully arranged each material for the right position so that the design showed more dynamism.

The Workshop in June, Theme is "Wedding Bouquet" - ６月のワークショップは ”ウェディング・ブーケ”

６月のワークショップでは、ジューン・ブライドにちなんでウェディング・ブーケの作製を行ないたいと思います。いつものように吸水性フォームを使用しない、ナチュラルステムのブーケです。フレームを作り，夏の風が通るような軽やかなブーケを作ってみましょう。デザインアイデアはお伝えしますが、基本的には形は自由。あなたらしい形を是非作り出してください。今回も，しっかり編み込む作業が入っています。あなたも一緒に、創作意欲を刺激した作品を作っていきませんか？

必要なものはハサミ、そして作品をお持ち帰り頂く袋だけです。必要であればエプロンやランチもお持ちください。
見学ももちろん大歓迎です。お気軽に是非ご連絡ください。

Hampstead Workshops is back. And it is June, yes, it is the month known for June Bride. Hence, naturally, its theme for this Workshop is 'Wedding Bouquet". Bouquet arrangement without any water retaining foam, ON YOUR OWN style! We share the idea, but the shape is entirely up to you. It will be a natural style design, with a shape created with weaving.
